Yes To Watermelon and Grapefruit Skincare Review
If someone were to ask me what my favorite feature is, I’d have to say my skin. I learned early on to love my almond color and appreciate the soft vibrance of my outer shell. At 33 1/2, my skin continues to be faithful to me, because I am faithful to it. Skincare is a major component of this.
My journey with skincare started as a teenager. I vividly recall one Christmas where my mom got a plastic box and filled it with skincare products from Got2B (yes, the same company that makes makeshift wig glue, but I digress). I started a faithful routine of cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing my face. Over the years, my routine has changed, but my skin continues to shine. These days, I owe my youthful glow in part to the Yes To Watermelon and Yes To Grapefruit line of skincare products.
About Yes To Products
The Yes To brand was formulated by two friends who set out to develop a natural beauty line made with fruits and veggies, excluded toxic ingredients, and would be affordable. All Yes To products are formulated with at least 95% natural ingredients. They are also vegan and Leaping Bunny certified for cruelty-free practices. With these things, the brand commits itself to sustainability both in production and recyclable packaging.
Prior to using my current lineup of products, I had tried several of the Yes To sheet masks, eye and lip masks, and subsequently the Grapefruit peel. I loved each product I tried, so I decided to invest in a few full-sized products that caught my eye. The Yes To Watermelon Facial Cleanser and Gel Moisturizer, as well as the Yes To Grapefruit Daily Exfoliating Tonic have been staples in my skincare regimen ever since.

Formulated for light hydration, this cleanser is designed to gently cleanse the skin without stripping it. This product also has no parabens, SLS, or silicones. Opening the tube is a total experience – this clear gel smells good enough to eat! If you are expecting this cleanser to grab every single leftover trace of makeup on its own, it may be a bit too gentle for you. Otherwise, it works great as a follow up to your favorite makeup remover. My skin always feels clean without being dry or tight.
Verdict: Mighty Fine
Yes To Grapefruit Daily Exfoliating Tonic
Price: $14.99 – 4 fl oz.
This is probably the unsung hero in my routine. The Daily Exfoliating Tonic uses natural exfoliators (10% fruit acids, AHAs and BHA) to awaken dull skin and improve the appearance of the texture. It is a liquid that smells just like the grapefruit it is formulated with. I love the pump packaging that makes application almost spillproof. I usually do a light peel as part of my monthly skin routine, but this daily tonic is a miracle worker for my everyday skin woes. No matter how dull my skin looks, if I use this tonic before bed, I wake up with fresh clear skin. There are warnings about irritation (as with any products of its kind), but I’ve never experienced side effects. There is light tingling for a few seconds that subsides quickly.

Yes To Watermelon Gel Moisturizer
Price: $12.99 – 1.7 oz.
I’m a sucker for a good gel moisturizer, and Yes To Watermelon hits the spot. Like its cleansing counterpart, the fruity smell is so pleasant and joy-inducing. Also formulated without parabens, SLS, or silicones, this product aims to quench the skin, leaving the skin soft and refreshed. The texture reminds me of a good sheet mask. The gel goes on cool and smooth and absorbs nicely. There is no greasy residue. I find this moisturizer perks up my skin and makes it look plump and youthful.
Verdict: Mighty Fine
Final Thoughts
When it comes to beauty products, the product junkie in me gets distracted by shiny new things all the time. So, I rarely buy the same thing twice. The Yes To Watermelon and Grapefruit products are one of those exceptions. They are so effective that I have gone through two sets and will need a third by the end of the month. The results speak for themselves. I highly recommend these products.
